Music to Inspire: Dia Frampton "Don't Kick the Chair"

I have really enjoyed the musical trend, as of late, of encouraging, hopeful songs. I think music can have a significant part to play in the healing process, by surrounding yourself with positivity. This is the latest one I found, listening to Dia Frampton, from The Voice and the sister duo Meg & Dia.

Some other Positive Inspiration songs that have been on the radio in the past year...
"Firework" by Katy Perry
"Who Says" by Selena Gomez
"Skyscraper" by Demi Lovato
"Perfect" by Pink
"Loser Like Me" by the Glee Cast

What type of music makes you feel better?

  1. Panic at the Disco's second album is the happiest, most upbeat album I've ever heard. (Not their first or third, they are more angry/sad.)

  2. I have my first ipod at age 57 with 14 days of continuous music loaded into it. After a lifetime of music media beginning with 45s and LPs (78RPMs did linger as a child), up through the tape standards and then CDs, I think I've lived to see the ultimate music bank in MP3.

I like "random" setting and wont skip much unless the "wrong" song comes up in the mix.

But artists.....classical music is infinite. I love old Sinatra songs and Glen Campbell. Mark Knopfler and show tunes. I have a 100 TV theme show CD loaded into the ipod. Yoga music and the occasional spoken passage from self-help audio can go in-between songs and work for me. R&B, Hall&Oates, and Herb Alpert too.......

I guess I have no type, even soft rap can make me feel well and alive......but the delivery method, the ipod makes it all happen....and the podcasts when I drive are exciting to get.

When you live into and through middle-age, the old songs and even OLDER songs than your youth really make a person fly with sweet and deep reference.
